Asili

Asili specialises in art pieces and objects made by East African artisans and their respective materials. The New Zealand-based design brand was founded by Eve Penny after an inspired trip to Uganda and Kenya in 2017.

Asili prides itself on small, low-run collections that are thoughtfully designed and have a positive impact on the communities that create them. By working closely with their makers, Asili aims to support local enterprises with consistent production, innovative collaborations, and the championing of fair trade practices.

All Asili pieces are made by artisan groups that are Fair Trade Certified using only natural, responsibly sourced materials. This includes reclaimed olive wood, soapstone, and Mugavu wood.

Città stocks some of Asili’s most iconic designs, as well as direct collaborations between Asili and Città’s in-house product designers.
